Ireland 2013-Part 2

Part 2 of my Ireland adventure!  On our way to the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland, we stopped in County Antrim to cross the famous Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge.  This 66 foot long bridge connects the mainland to the tiny island of Carrickarede, and hangs 98 feet over the rocks below.  From a distance, it looks harmless, but once you navigate the steep metal (and on this day, wet) stairway that leads to the bridge, you realize there's no turning back!  I have to admit, I was more than a little freaked out crossing it, especially on this wet and windy day, but I'm glad I did it! The views of the rocky coast were magnificent, and the 20 minute or so walk to get to the bridge was filled with more gorgeous views.
