Mar 6 2018 - May 15 2018Alice Milton Gallery, Tower Hill Botanic Garden
11 French Drive
I'm so thrilled to be showing my work in the beautiful and inspiring setting of Tower Hill Botanic Garden in Boylston, Massachusetts. For this new series, created just for this show, I explore pollinating species, from hummingbirds to moths, bees to beetles, as well as other beneficial insects and the plants they pollinate. Many pollinator species are threatened with extinction, which will have deep and troubling consequences to biodiversity and our own sustainability. These pollinators and plants are depicted enshrined in golden grids that recall religious altars, expressing a reverence for these essential creatures that are so vital to our ecosystem, and ultimately, our survival.
Join us for the opening reception on Saturday, March 10, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
